It may look like a piece of cake in the video, but our teams worked hard to safely and precisely place the first furnace for the INEOS Project ONE ethane cracker on its permanent position.
In this accelerated video, you can see in 45 seconds how the 60-metre high unit is being positioned at our Project ONE site in the port of Antwerp.
The transport from the ship to the installation site took 4.5 hours, using 8 rows of self-propelled modular units (SPMTs) with 224 axles. A further 4 hours were spent on precise alignment and shimming to ensure everything was perfectly positioned on the foundations.
