Project ONE has reached an impressive milestone: the flare tip has been installed at 200 meters. Together with the ethane tank and the splitters, this flare now defines the new skyline of our project. Watch the video and experience this impressive moment with Hossam Madkour, lifting expert at Project ONE.
With this lifting operation, we’re closing the year on a literal high point. This moment makes us even more excited for 2026 – the year when Project ONE will take further shape and truly come to life.
The elevated flare is a standard safety feature in a chemical plant of this size. It allows us to burn off gases in a controlled way during maintenance or in case of an unexpected shutdown. But at Project ONE, we go one step further: in addition to the elevated flare, we will also have a ground flare.
This helps reduce noise and light impact on our site and in the surrounding area. As a result, the elevated flare will operate less often and for shorter periods. For most planned maintenance and many unplanned scenarios, our neighbors will hardly notice anything.
