Usually invisible but therefore no less essential: in homes today, dozens of metres of cables are processed in walls, ceilings and floors for lighting, internet, heating and other smart applications. They can last for decades and thus contribute to our comfort at home every day.
The durable, flexible cables used in new buildings and renovations are made of polypropylene and also contain ethylene. It is produced at INEOS O&P in Geel. From there, it goes to Thesla in Destelbergen that makes the pre-wired cables and then to houses and buildings all over the country and beyond.
